Enjoying this beautiful day outside!
Sunflowers and sun-catchers can be seen decorating the resident's doors and windows around campus. Residents also enjoyed the funnel cake demonstration, while sharing the funnel cakes that were topped with strawberries and plenty of whip cream, while reminiscing about the fairs they use to attend and participate in.
A few activities from the past few days on our campus.
Thank you to Hyvee and their customers for all the beautiful roses that were donated and delivered to our residents! You made our day. Thanks for your generosity!
This afternoon our celebrity BINGO caller was Mitchell Olson from Season Two of "Survivor The Australian Outback". Mitchell is known for his involvement in our Sioux Falls community. We enjoyed his story telling of the Survivor show and other life experiences.

Avera Medical Minute: Prince of Peace Community offers more visiting options
Our latest Celebrity Bingo caller was Aaron Doudna, weatherman from DakotaNews Now. Ruth from Activities quizzed Aaron on his pie and weather knowledge. Aaron shared his expertise with us and that his wish has always been to have a pie in his face. One of our residents made his wish come true.
John, from Activities, also was gracious enough to "volunteer" for a pie in the face as well.
Fall craft using paint sticks stirrers.
Our crafters were busy making fall trees with tissue paper and button leaves and our turkeys were made with recycled yogurt jars stuffed with their favorite candy.
We also got to enjoy our first real snow day with banana splits!
Some recent activities on our campus ~ baking club, crafts and a fan favorite BINGO!
Happy Thanksgiving!
A few more pictures from Thanksgiving.
Staying busy with crafts and baking club with our residents.
Decorating Christmas cookies 🍪
Merry Christmas from the Avera Prince of Peace community! 🎄🎅 Our "elves" have been busy decorating our campus and hosting six holiday celebrations. We would like to extend our gratitude to all the families who sent it pictures so we could make frames for our residents, and to the daycares and schools who sent us cards and decorations. All the cheer helped to brighten everyone's day!
