THOUGHT OF THE DAY 11-05-2020
Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently.
MAYA ANGELOU
Courage is also the most important virtue one needs to battle cancer. Without courage that battle will be short and end badly.

A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.

A person’s journey with cancer is a success if they get up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between they do what they want!

Being diagnosed with cancer really opened my eyes to the fact anyone can have it and that even though we think we have control over everything in our lives, we don’t.

I am sure many people feel exactly how Sheryl did. You just never think it is going to be you.

Self-confidence is the result of a successfully survived risk.
JAKE GIBB
Anyone battling cancer needs a lot of self-confidence each and every day. This is a hard and long battle that wears on the self-confidence. But each day that you wake up to return to battle you have successfully survived a risk and hopefully that gives you the needed daily self-confidence.

This is the same if you have been given marching orders by your doctor that you are going into battle with cancer. Give it all you've got!!

Whoa! What a day... Yesterday in the Y105 Studio we enjoyed the company of several grantee's of the Avery Foundation. Hearing their stories was an eye opener for me, realizing that often times I can get caught up in the hustle of sales, I forget what is really important. A huge thank you to this group... The recordings below will soon be on the air!
While they were out here, I was given an opportunity to acquire some really cool autographed memorabilia from some of my favorite Chicago Bears, Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs with a donation to this great cause. There are plenty of attractive items yet to be claimed; their website is listed at the end of this post. I'm sure plenty of people have their eye on the George Kittle helmet that was recently acquired... Better get it while you can!
If you or a loved one is looking for help while undergoing cancer treatments, or if you would like to contribute to this amazing cause, please visit https://averyfndtn.org/

The journey is never ending. There's always gonna be growth, improvement, adversity; you just gotta take it all in and do what's right, continue to grow, continue to live in the moment.
ANTONIO BROWN
Much the same for anyone on a journey with cancer. There will be improvement and adversity. Just accept what comes at you and do your best while never forgetting to live in each of your moments.

We would like to thank the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for the very generous donation we received today. Many thanks!
