Below there are preforming two inspections; the Functional Pressure Test to ensure the units are withholding the required amount of pressure and the Lighting System Functional Test to test that the lighting system activates after deployment.

AVI specializes in PMA programs that are designed to reduce costs by 30%. Cash-short airlines have maximum incentives to seek low-cost solutions. OEM’s are notorious for withholding or restricting access to component maintenance manuals; excessive pricing; withholding, delaying or overcharging for parts; replacing piece-part repairs with component repairs.
A survey showed optimism in two areas: When asked if PMAs and DER repairs will increase, 24% of respondents said yes. Only 12% were unsure, and 5% said no. The majority, 59%, expect more PMAs and DERs.
