New York has no shortage of worldly cuisines, but it very well may be lacking true, homemade Greek Food. Well, this is no longer because Avlee Greek Kitchen is officially open and traditional Greek meals are on the menu!
If you have ever visited Greece or haven’t gotten the opportunity to do so yet, once you step inside Avlee Greek Kitchen you will be overcome with the beautiful aromas that resonate from each and every dish. It’s like being in Greece without having to travel! However, if you’ve had the pleasure of tasting true Greek food, the restaurant wants to be sure you have nothing less than the same great experience with every meal.
Avlee Greek Kitchen also comes with a fantastic back story…
One year, owner Andrew Poulos decided he was not going to have a birthday celebration. While he figured his friends would be discouraged at the lack of cake and celebration, it was actually his mother’s cooking that they would miss the most. Unfortunately, his mother never wanted to get into the restaurant business, but Andrew was able to share these family recipes in his future restaurant endeavors.
Unlike many restaurants that claim to serve “homemade” food or “authentic” cuisine, Avlee Greek Kitchen takes great pride in staying to true to what homemade really means, bringing home cooked recipes straight from mom’s kitchen. Flavor is the star of the show at this new Greek restaurant and with years of history to back each and every dish, Avlee Greek Kitchen invites you to come in and have a taste!
