Have you ever wondered what happened to our founders Christmas display? The Anderson family donated it to the City of Loves Park shortly after Art's passing in 2007. Art & Betty's Christmas display was extravagant to say the least. Pictured here is Santa's house and life size reindeer/sleigh which were displayed for over 40 years outside their home on Theodore Street. Go check it out at Loves Park City Hall. Merry Christmas to all!
This Veterans Day weekend we are celebrating our founder (WWII vet Art Anderson) as another one of his visions comes to reality. Please visit the Field of Honor located at the Arthur W Anderson Peace Park next to Loves Park City Hall to check out the new Eternal Flame. This was envisioned in 1995 and through private donations and the help of the Rockford Park District, it is now a reality. We couldn't be more proud...thank a veteran this weekend.
