Some evenings are just better when you have a place like this to spend it.
Find that friend with a deck (or build one and be that friend!)

Decks are amazing retreats. Sipping a warm drink outside in cool weather is one of the best things in life!
We're here for you year-round regardless of the season (cuz let's face it, we could go through 3 seasons in a week, right?).
You might want a new deck with heaters up by the holidays, or you might want to build in the spring for next summer. No problem!
“Living in a rural area can present its own set of challenges when it comes to home improvement projects. My deck had become a major project and I was looking for a full replacement. Awesome Decks was responsive to my inquiry out of the gate. When Josh and Monica arrived to do the inspection and measurements, they asked a lot of questions, provided original ideas, and genuinely seemed to take an interest in the project. They followed up the next week with different design options, material samples, and visual aids that made it easy to envision the completed project."

The right atmosphere can make it more enjoyable to be outside. And you don't have to go far. A deck and pergola in back, and voila!
Tiger Wood for the win!

Decks aren’t just made of wood anymore. There are other options.
There are the old school wooden decks made from cypress, oak, pine, bamboo, or cedar. There are composite decks with the look and feel of wood but made from a variety of composites (mostly plastic and wood) that outlast their natural alternatives. And there are also aluminum and stainless steel for those who may need a more durable commercial alternative.
The kind of material your deck is made of matters because it affects the cost and frequency of your maintenance and upkeep. The kind of material you select can affect the safety and security of your deck, rails, and stairs.
Don't worry, we can explain all the options so you get what's best for you. We just thought it was interesting and wanted to let you know.

If your budget won’t allow for what you want right now, it’s possible to create a 1, 2, or even a 5 or 10-year plan. You can add a bit more to your deck and landscaping each year.
Now is a great time to think about the outdoor space you might want in the future. We're already booking for spring 2021!

When considering a deck, consider your lifestyle.
It’s not enough to build a deck because the neighbors have one, or because you fell in love with a photo in a magazine. A deck is another room in your house - even if it is outdoors.
It must contribute significantly to your lifestyle - whatever that lifestyle is.
Do you entertain? Do you enjoy gardening, or flowers, or birds? Do you want a deck because you love being outdoors, cooking, enjoying the children or grandchildren, or because you have a great view you want to experience?
Why do you want a deck?

Outside on your deck, you can take in the season's colors better than indoors!
We'll not only build you a quality deck on time and on budget, we'll even dream with you about the design.
We know it's an investment, and we want you to enjoy it to the fullest!

The size of your deck matters more than the size of a comparable interior room. Not only is lawn, patio and deck furniture larger than interior furnishings, but there are also generally more people on a deck at any given time.
You’ll need extra walk around room if you plan to have outdoor tables and chairs. And there are certain safety restrictions regarding the distance a gas or charcoal grill should be placed.
Factor in room for plants, seating, storage, access to things like a hot-tub or grill, storage containers... and all those extra things that often accumulate on decks!

Hey friends, what's YOUR FAVORITE way to enjoy a deck?
1. Gathering with friends and family
2. Self-care like reading or enjoying a quiet coffee
3. Enjoying being outside without going anywhere
5. Seeing friends safely during COVID
If it's not listed above, what do YOU like about decks (or patios...)
When you're thinking about where to put a deck on your home, consider easy access - especially if you plan to cook or entertain on it. No one wants to walk through a house with trays of food and drink just to get to the deck.
Will you access the deck from inside or outside the house? Will you need a new door cut into your home? Will you be able to get off of the deck without having to go through the house?
Do you have children or grandchildren who need to be kept on the deck?
You might want to be able to access your yard or driveway from the deck - especially if you have family members that want to go to the yard without having to go through the house.
Just offering things to think about. :)

Trick-or-treating may look different this year, but never fear! Decks are great for pumpkin carving so you can still enjoy fun parts of the season!
Just because you have a backyard, a side yard, or a blank wall on your house that seems like a good spot to put a deck, doesn’t mean it is a good spot.
We've seen decks built by others that didn't take into account the sun or lack of sun. Some people have decks they can’t use because the deck is in direct sunlight. The side of a house your deck is on can affect the growth of mold or the need for extra maintenance because of the heat of full sun.
Don't let a bad spot happen to you. When we visit for a free consultation, we'll discuss all these things becuase we want you to get a deck you can use and enjoy!
Imagine having on your deck or patio everything you need for hosting friends or family: the grill, the sink, the counter space, the large table, the patio space.
We'd love to build you that space so you can enjoy your time with friends and family.

You should get to have access to outside regardless of what level you're on. 😀

What's the difference between a pergola and a gazebo?
Traditionally, gazebos were round or octagonal structures with a roof. Pergolas were square or rectangular structures with cross beams, but no roof.
(Of course, these days, you can mix it up. Like this square gazebo pictured!
