Wayne's Towing Recovery & Transport

It is with the heaviest of hearts as we write this. Every 6 days, a tow truck driver is killed. Today that driver was our very own, Jason Willis. He was hit and killed loading a truck on the side of the interstate early this morning.
Our family and company are broken and will never be the same without you, Jason Willis. We are at a loss and can’t believe this has happened. Jason loved his job endlessly and was one of our hardest working men.
PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER FOR TOW TRUCKS. They are first responders who put their lives on the line to help others.
Jason joins his son, Jaxon, in heaven and he lives on through his wife, Victoria Willis, his son, Jeremy, and 3 beautiful daughters, Chloe, Emma, and Phoebe. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.

EDIT: A GoFundMe has been started for Jasons family and funeral. Anything is appreciated https://www.gofundme.com/f/family-of-jason-willis

Oldie but a goodie! :)
Tires to give away. Please come and look. Take as many as you want. Most are good for a silage pile. Some might be good enough for a trailer used around the yard. Some even good enough for a spare. Can be seen at BND 24HR TOWING. 515 20th ave se. Watertown. By Lesters gun and pawn. And the roundabout 20th ave and US 81.

Radar update 11:30 pm 1-5-2021
Surface temperatures have stayed fairly warm in the Aberdeen area thus far, leading to rain with some snow mixing in at times. The pink/yellow radar image below displays the Correlation Coefficient product. Notice the yellow area around Aberdeen - that's telling us that rain is mixing in with snow, and also that you only have to go up about 500 ft in height above the ground to find all snow (solid pink areas). Meanwhile, the transition to all snow at the surface has already taken place a bit further west, represented/estimated by the blue shading on the blue/green radar image below (green is rain). A transition to all snow is expected to take place through the night across the area, but the timing of this transition will affect snowfall totals. In any case, slick travel conditions are possible by Wednesday morning, either from snow or frozen wetness from the rain. Find the latest travel conditions at www.safetravelusa.com.

12 Feet and 12 Seconds
One year ago today- almost to the hour- Dale Jones lost his life. Dale was a huge part of our team and a cherished friend as well. He was struck roadside doing the job he loved. He was taken away from his son, daughter, grandson and loving girlfriend. He is missed by countless friends, colleagues, and customers. Dale had a signature laugh, great attitude, and an in-your-face way of describing things. As much as I want to bring him back- I cannot. What I can do is use his time here to bring awareness for the industry he lived- and died- for.
12 feet and 12 seconds
Maybe I’ve never provided a service for you but I’ve towed your uncle’s new pickup when it let him down. I’ve jump started your brother in law’s work car so he can get to the hospital to be with his wife and soon to be newborn. I have unlocked grandma’s car on Christmas Day so the kids could have their presents. I’ve also changed a tire quickly so your niece can get to the nursing home to be with her dad during his last breath. These are some things I’ve done for those around you.
12 feet and 12 seconds
I’ve worked for days with no sleep to get roadways cleared, laid in bloody vehicles to help investigators get data recorders out, and picked up pieces of jaw with teeth in it off the road so you didn’t have to find it when you go back to the scene of where your loved one perished. I’ve picked up children’s toys and car seats at scenes where there is no longer a child that needs them, assist with loading bodies in bags when the volunteer firemen find it too tough handle when it’s one of their own. I’ve hurried to roll a pickup over to save a mother trapped and watched her walk to the ambulance- and I’ve lifted semis off people who weren’t so lucky. These are also some things I’ve done for those around you.
12 feet and 12 seconds
What I ask of you today is to give me 12 feet (when safe to do so) and 12 seconds. 12 feet is the width of a lane. 12 seconds is the time it adds to your trip if you slow 20 mph past one of us- towers, law enforcement, firemen, etc- working on the side of the road. 12 feet and 12 seconds and be alert while driving. I’ll gladly shoulder the weight of the items I pointed out earlier, and I will do it without asking time and time again.
I would gladly sacrifice 12 feet and 12 seconds of my day to save someone like Dale 6 feet and a lifetime.
Towed a hummer TODAY
People stand back. And let me do my job. I gotta say that every darn time. But this is what i feel like sometimes.
A few pics from the last year or so. I am sure I've shared dome of them before. But please enjoy them. And share them with your friends.
