B and O Electric Company was started in 1974 by Clyde Ognio and Marion Bennett. The company at this time did churches and school additions. In the late seventy s Marion Bennett got the opportunity to go to work for General Motors so he ended his relationship with the company. March 22, 1984 B and O Electric Company, incorporated under the laws of the state of Georgia as B and O Electric Company Inc. As we grew we decided that we were more interested in the industrial work than the work we had been doing. We had the people and the knowledge so we pursued this and soon found ourselves doing controls for food plants. The control work that we have done includes dry material storage and conveying, dough thickness, packaging and conveyor controls just to mention a few. These systems were accomplished by using such equipment as programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives and softstarts.
