Tomorrow (February 23, 2019) will be the celebration of life for Mr. Robert Taylor. He’s the man that for over 40 years has worked for Backyard. He started with Mr. Charlie Christian back in the ‘70’s at IGA. From that they started catering and Meals on Wheels. From that venture developed what you now know as Backyard Barbecue and Charleston Catering. He’s been the man behind the scenes so to speak. He diligently prepared and cooked much of what is served. We loved our “Mr. Rob” and he will be greatly missed. We are thankful for him and what he has meant to us. We will be closed until 3:00 pm for his service tomorrow. Please be in prayer for his family. REST IN HEAVEN MR. ROB!

We had some LONG distance travelers stop in for a bite. This group from the Netherlands were biking and stopped in for a visit and meal! They were a delight! Loved their accents. 😁 Of course, we don’t have an accent. (Wink 😉 Wink)

Our most requested LOADED BAKED POTATO SOUP IS BACK!! The ultimate in comfort food for these cooler days. Creamy soup with baked potatoes and sour cream topped with cheddar cheese, bacon bits and fresh chives. Dine in or take out. We can even fix a gallon “to go” with advance notice.
