We hired a new bounty hunter this week, what should we name him?
Kody Laird cut off a monitoring bracelet and jumped a $40,000.00 bond. Kody was out on bond for Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Endangerment, Obstructing, Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and Fleeing or Eluding. He is currently wanted for felony bail jumping. He is also currently wanted for warrants out of Helena Municipal Court and Broadwater District Court and is listed as an absconder from Helena Probation and Parole. His bond has been revoked. He was last seen in the vicinity of the Man Store in downtown Helena.

She has active warrants in Bannock County District Court in Idaho. Melissa is known to be in the Helena area and is currently being hidden by her sister, Malorie Tucker. Montana Highway Patrol

Officer Involved Incident:
At 1900 hours on Monday, January 25th, 2021, Montana Highway Patrol made a traffic stop in the area of Highway 35 and Turtle Mtn. Road.
Upon contact, The Highway Patrol Trooper identified the driver had a weapon. During the incident the driver discharged a firearm and sustained injuries to the head. Responding law enforcement, medical personnel and ALERT responded and transported the subject to Kalispell Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. As of this release, the investigation has shown a taser had been deployed by the trooper, but the Highway Patrol Trooper did not fire his service weapon.
Release of the driver’s name is pending notification of family.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Detective division is handling the officer involved incident investigation. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
Montana Law Enforcement Officers risk their Lives daily with very liitle thanks. How about we start changing that with some appreciation for what All Officers across this country do on a daily basis. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Trooper Rescues Woman from Submerged Vehicle:
Yesterday morning Trooper Connor Wager responded to a rollover crash south of Emigrant on River Road. After arriving on scene, he found a vehicle on its roof with the front end completely submerged in the Yellowstone River. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and the water was nearly freezing. Realizing that this was a potentially life-threatening situation, Trooper Wager tethered himself with a rope and entered the frigid water making his way through the fast moving current to the overturned vehicle. The strong current prevented the rear hatch from opening, so he broke through the rear window with a rescue tool and pulled the woman out of the vehicle. With the help of first responders on the shoreline, Trooper Wager and the victim were able to make it safely back to shore where the driver was treated by EMS. Trooper Wager was treated for minor injuries at Livingston HealthCare and released.
