Baltic Crossroads was established in 1992 by Inguna Galvina, Alfreds Stinkuls and Vladas Ruksa, with the idea to support local artists of Baltic and Nordic heritage. Original members were (are) artists by themselves - I.G. (weaving, knitting and drawing), A.S. (bookbinding, photography) V.R. (ceramics). First location was one of the oldest buildings at the area - corner of Sunset and Fountain. At the end of 19th century location of one of the first Hollywood movie studios, later - the Lithuanian Printing company. To the present location BC moved in 2005. It is the same area, but in Franklin Hills, Silver Lake.
