On September 10, Banner Health changed its visitor restrictions at hospitals in the metropolitan Phoenix, Tucson and Casa Grande areas. One visitor per patient per day is now permitted for most in-patients. Out-patient buildings and out-patient services attached to hospitals (e.g. emergency room, out-patient treatment centers, etc.) still do not permit visitors with few exceptions.
Visits for most patients will be permitted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a maximum duration of 3 hours. More details about the changes, including a list of exceptions, can be found here: https://bit.ly/3hAAqxn. Check out the tips below.

Congratulations to Emilia Moser, RN, our most recent DAISY award winner for 2020.
Emilia is an RN in the Women and Infant Services (WIS) department, where she continually gives amazing care to our patients and their families. Emilia is a shining example of what a DAISY award winner is. She is caring, selfless, hard-working and always puts patient care above all else. She is an advocate for her patients, taking the time to listen to them, give advice when asked or offering a hand to hold during difficult times. Emilia has truly made a difference in the lives of the patients she has cared for and the staff she works with.
Daisy award winners are selected from nominations submitted by patients/family members, co-workers, or physicians.

DID YOU KNOW: March is Child Life Month. This month we give special thanks and recognition to our fantastic Child Life Specialist Erica Jorgenson. Child Life Specialists promote quality psychosocial care by providing kids and teens age-appropriate preparation for medical procedures and surgery, pain management and coping strategies and play and self-expression activities. Understanding that a child’s welfare also depends on the support of the family, child life specialists provide information, support and guidance to parents, sibling and other family members.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Erica worked with the health care team to provide self-expression activities, kind and encouraging window and sidewalk displays and activities for employees to take home to their children. Thank you, Erica, and happy Child Life Month! #childlifemonth
