A non-profit group called “Bag & Boob Babes” was honored by Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Phoenix and the Laura Dreier Imaging Center for their enduring support for patients going through the breast cancer journey. The name “Bag & Boob Babes” informs others of the group’s purpose, which is to design, knit and sew drain aprons, “knitted knockers,” chemo hats/turbans, eye masks, face masks and cozy pillows, sent with cards of encouragement. Since forming in 2008, Bag and Boob Babes volunteers have donated more than 10,000 drain aprons and knitted knockers. We applaud this group for their unwavering dedication to making life just a little bit easier for our patients.
