On September 10, Banner Health changed its visitor restrictions at hospitals in the metropolitan Phoenix, Tucson and Casa Grande areas. One visitor per patient per day is now permitted for most in-patients. Out-patient buildings and out-patient services attached to hospitals (e.g. emergency room, out-patient treatment centers, etc.) still do not permit visitors with few exceptions. Visits for most patients will be permitted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a maximum duration of 3 hours. More details about the changes, including a list of exceptions, can be found here: https://bit.ly/3hAAqxn. Check out the tips below.

Check out this extra cute couple, who are both on the COVID-19 floor of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, room visitations are not allowed, even between patients. But the couple's daughter, Sue, stepped in. She writes, "I sent a quick email explaining the situation and the chief of nursing called me in the morning and said they were moving my mom next door to dad. They would share a nurse. And they would be allowed to visit whenever they wanted. He went so far to buy my dad a dozen roses to give to her. I am so unbelievable grateful for their compassion. 64 years together on the 20th. Acts of human kindness are all we need in this world. All the nurses have been moved by my parents' deep love for each other. They were all crying." We are wishing you two a speedy recovery! #HealthcareHeroes #COVID
