Virtual The Big Ask: The Big Give
Check out this brand new technology, from Stereotaxis, at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, called Robotic Magnetic Navigation (RMN). Cardiac arrhythmias are common medical conditions in which the heart beats irregularly and inefficiently renders it to no longer efficiently pump blood.
In order to treat this condition, doctors will perform a cardiac ablation procedure, which traditionally involves them manually manipulating a catheter by hand. RMN fundamentally transforms catheter navigation using magnetic fields and robotic precision. This increases treatment precision, gentle touch and reduces radiation. Another addition to make us a #SafePlaceForCare for you and your loved us!
The Johnjay & Rich LoveUp Foundation is spreading love and kindness by hosting a Food Truck Tour to provide nearly 5,000 free lunches to COVID-19 frontline workers across the Valley. The 7-Day Food Truck Tour kicks off today and will visit seven different Banner Health hospitals through September 22, serving lunches from a selection of amazing local food trucks.
"We created the #LoveUp Food Truck Tour to show appreciation for the dedicated frontline hospital workers who have been tirelessly helping patients fight COVID-19 over the last six months and to support our local food truck community that has been financially hurt by this pandemic," said Johnjay Van Es, Founder of #LoveUp and host of the nationally syndicated Johnjay and Rich Show, based at iHeartMedia's KZZP/Phoenix. "Thank you to the Johnjay & Rich listeners and #LoveUp supporters who responsibly purchased #LoveUp masks in effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 - we now get to use that money to help pay it forward."
The Food Truck Tour kicked off today at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, where Johnjay presented a check that will cover the cost of the food truck lunches.
On September 10, Banner Health changed its visitor restrictions at hospitals in the metropolitan Phoenix, Tucson and Casa Grande areas. One visitor per patient per day is now permitted for most in-patients. Out-patient buildings and out-patient services attached to hospitals (e.g. emergency room, out-patient treatment centers, etc.) still do not permit visitors with few exceptions.
Visits for most patients will be permitted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a maximum duration of 3 hours. More details about the changes, including a list of exceptions, can be found here: https://bit.ly/3hAAqxn. Check out the tips below.
