Bariatric Surgery Center of Dallas is dedicated helping end of the morbid obesity epidemic in the community. It was formed by many professionals, including dietitians, clinical psychologists, insurance coordinators, advocates of patients, and many others in order to help address this issue which is not only affecting our area, but the entire country. The way in which we do our part here in Dallas is through surgical and support services for weight loss from all disciplines in the field. We hope that this will have an impact on the disease so that it will improve the quality of life for all of our valued patients.
The team here is led by James A. Davidson M.D., F.A.C.S., FASMBS. He is the director of Bariatric surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Here at the Bariatric Surgery Center of Dallas, we offer many procedures that are multiple weight loss options such as sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery, LAP-BAND and revisional Surgery to maximize the amount of weight you are able to lose.
If you are completely clueless as to how all of this works, there is no need to worry, because we offer many free weight loss surgery information sessions that you can take advantage. They will help you gain a little bit more understanding of how it will all work for you. There are some common insurance requirements which need to be met before a surgery can take place, as well as being aware of the changes that will take place in your body as a result of having certain types of weight control surgery. We will work with you so that you know exactly what to expect, but it also doesn't hurt to look into it a little bit for yourself.
We will also make ever effort to make sure that you know the changes that will come about after any of the various surgeries that can be performed for weight control. For any of our new patients, it is required for you to attend one of our weight loss seminars prior to your consultation. This is your way into the program with Bariatric Surgery Center of Dallas and it is also very easy to make a reservation for an upcoming session. We have many information sessions available, so go ahead and read all about them. You may then choose whichever session that will meet your needs in the best possible way. There are information sessions and consultation sessions available during business hours going on all week, every week. Once you have gone through an information session, you will then be able to speak with one of our surgeons so that your medical needs and options for surgery can be discussed.
