One of the comments we here most often from new puppy parents is that they feel bad having their puppy in a crate or kennel, so they avoid it until their puppy is older. Teach your puppy when they are young to be comfortable in a kennel and crate. It should not be looked at as a punishment, but a way for them to have personal space. In our puppy program each puppy gets a nap time not only to give them much needed rest from all the play, but to show them that kennels do not have to be something to be anxious about.
