I grew up in Gresham, Oregon, graduating from Gresham Union High School in 1994. I started in the construction and remodeling industry my senior year in high school, working weekends and whenever else I could with a family friend who was a licensed contractor in Oregon. I graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2000 with an AAS in Civil Engineering Technologies. However, I enjoyed working with my hands too much, so I continued working for my contractor friend off and on as he needed help for the next few years. In 2000 he decided he needed someone on more of a regular basis, so I started to work 20 to 30 hours a week with him while working a full time job at night. In 2003 he hired me on full time.
In 2012, my wife and I started Barnes Family Construction LLC with the goal of having a family business that could be handed down from generation to generation. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, cleanliness and customer service, but most important to us is our honesty and integrity.
I have a beautiful family that consists of my loving wife, Deana, my stepdaughter Jordan with son-in-law Josh, my stepson Christian, and our daughters, Sophia and Miabella.
I've done jobs that range from a drywall repair for $50 to a complete house remodel for $80,000 plus. I've also built some outbuildings that range from a 10 x 12 shed to a 30 x 60 pole barn with a 15 x 60 two bedroom, one bath apartment attached to it.
