A nice breeze and a beautiful melody!
Penny, our hairstylist, was in this week for appointments. Carol looked so beautiful. We had to snap a photo of Ms. Hollywood!
It was a beautiful night for an outdoor movie. Did you know that Barrington of Oakley is on the site of the old Oakley Drive-in? The drive-in opened in the fall of 1956, and the first movie shown was Alfred Hitchcock's "The Man Who Knew Too Much," according to Cinema Treasures.
We had a faBOOlous time at the Boil, Boil, Toil, and Trouble Happy Hour!
It's Penny Auction time again! As a treat, Amy served up her homemade cinnamon and sugar donuts.

Our residents sure do know how to make the staff feel special! They handed out the Appreciation Fund gifts to all 98 of our employees. The staff is very thankful for the kind and generous gifts.
Our residents learned all about the dessert, Baked Alaska, at Amy's cooking demo.
A fun bit of trivia, "The name 'Baked Alaska' was supposedly coined at Antoine's, a restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana by its chef de cuisine Antoine Alciatore in 1867 to honor the acquisition by the United States of Alaska from the Russian Empire."
We love when our residents and staff dress in theme. Here's Sharon and Jenn (from Activities) at our Flannel and Flapjacks breakfast hosted by the Activities team!
