In this video, Julia Pretl animates the build of a beaded Warped Hexagon.
We like to use precision cylinder beads for this, but of course any beads will work. Larger cylinders can be fun to learn with - we use Delica size 11s. We love this video for how true-to-life it is - the way the ring of thread expands slightly as we tug the tail thread a bit to make room for the first ring of increases, and how when it folds into Taco form, we add our increases sometimes at a tip, and sometimes from the "side".

This is a free download from CGB, an excerpt from the new books. Click on the blog post, and click the blue words to choose either a download with full-size PAGES for printing, or SPREADS if you are just viewing online (this is nice because it looks like an open book).
The Pages download, if printed out, has a nice actual-size bangle that you can cut out with scissors and try on to see if this size works for you. I like to wear mine as a bracelet - three of the flowers fit perfectly around my wrist, and I use the fourth one as an overlap, with snaps.
