Before / after !
Hello! Hope everyone is excited to get your hair done. We are so looking forward to seeing you and getting back on track!!!! Earlier I stated that I would be posting the guidelines, and that no one will like it!!! Unfortunately, this posting will seem abrupt but it all has to be confronted because of Covid-19. The entire staff is a little nervous on how dangerous this virus is. We are just thrilled we personally know each and every one of you so well, and are not obliged to take in a complete stranger over you! We will not be accepting walk-ins, and all appointments must be scheduled in advance. We also know that you will be happy that we are taking it very serious!!! It will take some time. Each stylist is calling their clients. This week, we changed the answering machine, and you have been instructed to leave your name, number, stylist name, and what you need done. Someone is checking it daily, and writing your name on a master list. The slots are filling up fast, but don't give up!!! We know you, and have an idea of where (by the amount of time it generally takes) we can put you in. If you haven't called yet, please do so. We do not want anyone to feel left out! We know it is frustrating not talking to a person! Some stylist have called from their cell phones, so if a strange number pops up it may be your stylist. We will more than likely have to use this method after we open for awhile, as pausing a hair service and cleaning the phone and pencil takes time too! Now onto thee not-so-fun rigmarole: -Arguing about the following rules won't change them, so let us not waste time questioning the whys! Let's all just worry about getting your hairstyle back to normal as safely as possible!!!! We are following safety guidelines strongly ordered/or suggested to keep all of our customers and employees safe! We are implementing detailed sanitation, disinfecting procedures throughout the salon, and tracking is part of that by means of paperwork. Health surveys and release forms will be provided. You must pass the health questions to proceed. You must be masked! Changing these rules are not an option !!! There will not be more than 10 people in the salon at once. Everyone must follow 6 feet social distancing in the salon toward other guests and employees as much as possible. Try to hold off from using the restroom as we will have to take time in between people to clean that too. We are allowing time in between customers to clean. Even though we will only be doing 1/2 of the people we normally do, we may run late. We may not have time to style as usual. Some stylist may elect to wax eyebrows. Some may not. No lip, chin,or face waxes. No mustache or beard trims. (We plan on staying away from the nose and mouth until deemed safe!) Even though socializing is the highlight of our jobs, there will be less chit chatting, story telling, joke telling, hello hugs, goodbye hugs. We are NOT mad at you!!! We care about you and your safety! Let's keep it all minimal for now! Afterall, we will both be behind masks, trying to breathe !!! The blunt guidelines that follow are how we were instructed to state to our customers through social media. Some of it is repeat. - If you are sick, stay home. - If you have a temperature, stay home. -If someone in your house is sick, stay home. -If you have allergies and can’t control sneezing, stay home. In any of these cases, reschedule your appointment to a later date. -Wear a mask, preferably the style that wraps behind the ears (certain mask styles may interfere with the performance of the haircut or color treatment). -Do not enter the salon until your chair is open and it has been disinfected. (we will come and get you, text you, or wave to you)((Now remember we may not answer the phone)) -Limit the items you touch in the salon to items you select to purchase. (your stylist will get it for you) -Wash your hands before you enter and after you leave the salon. -Use hand sanitizer when you enter and before you leave the building. -Limit the items you bring into the salon. We will not allow extra food and drinks, books, and other things such as coats on our counters or in our closets, you will hold what you bring. - As much as possible, maintain a distance of at least six feet from other clients and other employees when walking through the salon. -If you get the urge to sneeze or cough, put on your mask (if not already wearing it) and cover your nose, mouth and mask with a napkin or handkerchief. Wash your hands and face thoroughly before returning to your activity. -Place cash/check on the counter or tray rather than directly into your hand. - Try to bring your own pen for signatures -We will not accept walk-ins. -If you need products, your stylist will assist you and get it from the shelf for you. -If you need to purchase products only, call and leave a message and we can arrange a time. -Dont allow customers to touch items or tools on your station. Remember, anything they touch will cost you time as it must be disinfected -Businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting symptoms or not following salon guidelines.
Hello, I will now be checking answering machine daily. Please keep it minimal with your name, your phone number, who your stylist is, and what you need done. Each stylist will call you back to find an appointment for you. We will have strict protocol to abide by so we cannot do as many people as previous. We open on the 26. You can call when open , but we plan on letting voicemail pick up otherwise we will have to change gloves and sanitize everything we touch while someone is getting their hair done. We will listen to your messages when we free up!But your stylist will call you back when she is working. Wow, all of these yrs working and we now have to learn a new routine! Please be patient! I will post protocol next week. You won’t like it! How do we know that? Because we don’t like it !!!!! But we will do what we have to do huh?
Hello, waiting on the DSPS to give us the final guidelines but should be open on Tues May 26th. Since we were forced to close on March 20, we will begin by calling those who were supposed to be in on March 21st as they have been waiting the longest! Watch for updates on how we will be running our salon procedures. It will be different for awhile, but things will slowly get back to normal!
Just an update to those feeling left out of OUR loop. Not a lot of changes, but here is where we are at. Governor Evers has extended the state’s stay-at-home order until May 26. Although there is a statewide plan for reopening the non essential businesses, salons and barbershops must remain closed at this time. To read more about reopening please read " badger bounce back plan dhs" online. We are in phase 3. A date is not yet provided for stage 3. Just keep checking back, and we will announce it when we do know. There will be certain requirements that we will have to abide by once opening. We will be posting what those may be as soon as we know. Some salons are already booking clients. This seems somewhat foolish to us as we do not know the plan of action date or procedures required. For example: What if we booked everyone that wanted in, and then found out there can only be 2 people in the room at a time. We are not even sure yet IF we can shampoo anyone or we can use blow dryers! These scenarios are being implemented in other states that have perhaps opened to soon. We do not want to book you, and then have to use the old fashioned " School yard pick". Think about that. Waiting this long, getting on the books, and then last minute getting the call. Can you even imagine?!?! Once we are given directives on WHAT services we can do, HOW we are to perform the allowed services and WHEN we will be allowed start, then we will proactively reach out, and figure it out together! Please be patient! Things may not go back to the same old routine and we are ALL getting frustrated with it, but we will continue to abide by the law for everyone's safety!!! Take care, stay healthy, and keep checking back!
