BOTOX Cosmetic has been shown to reduce muscle spasticity in a variety of medical disorders and has also been shown to reduce localized pain. Putting these two concepts together sparked the idea in my mind of using it to reduce muscle spasm after tummy tuck to help keep my patients even more comfortable. Since introducing this along with Marcaine and Exparel I have been able to dramatically reduce the amount of pain medication my patients require after these procedures.
