Each September, Recovery Month works to promote and support treatment and recovery practices, the emergence of a strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and community members across the nation who make recovery in all its forms possible.
This year due to Covid we will not be hosting our Annual Recovery Rally. We do hope to have an event in honor of all those in recovery down the road, stay tuned for more information. You are not alone in recovery!
Did you know suicide is one of the leading causes of death among adults ages 26 to 55 years. Serious life challenges, such as relationship problems, unemployment, substance abuse, and poverty may increase suicide risk among vulnerable adults.
Although suicide rates are increasing in both middle-aged men and women, men are much more likely than women to die by suicide. Middle-aged men (ages 35–64) represent 19 percent of the United States population but account for 40 percent of suicide deaths.
If you or anyone you know is struggling, please reach out to BHS CARE Line 1-888- 370-7003 or call our office 402-370-3140.
