Here at Bellevue Family Medicine, we understand that the current COVID-10 crisis has created a considerable amount of fear and uncertainty. One thing is not uncertain is our commitment to continue to offer top-rate and compassionate care to all our patients.
Because of the current crisis, Bellevue Family Medicine has implemented several changes. We have changed how we screen and schedule appointments and where certain patients are seen. Because of these changes, our healthy patients can be sure that they will be seen and examined in a very safe setting and risk of any infection, including the novel corona-virus is very LOW.
Bellevue Family Medicine believes in not turning away anyone in need. This includes our sick and acutely ill patients. However, those with symptoms of fever or cough or any respiratory infections will only be seen in an outside setting and are currently not allowed inside the building. This safety measure ensures that our healthy patients will continue to stay healthy and not exposed to any infections while inside our building.
Between each and every patient, exam rooms are meticulously sanitized with medical grade sanitizer wipes. All medical equipment used during an exam is also meticulously sanitized after any and every contact. The waiting room is also cleaned several times per day.
Bellevue Family Medicine understands that our most vulnerable patients are afraid to leave their homes. And in many instances, it is not safe or recommended for certain people to do so. Because of this we are now offering virtual appointments. We want to encourage our higher risk patients, including the healthy elderly, to start using he virtual appointment option. For those that are not in the higher risk groups, virtual appointment options will also be available. Please call our office at 425-454-5311 if you would like to schedule an appointment, either virtual appointment or in-office.
We look forward to continuing to be partners in health to all our patients during and after this crisis. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU

5 Practical Tips to Help You Stop Touching Your Face (Since It's Seriously Hard to Quit)
Something to consider doing if you're not already
Most Coronavirus illnesses are mild with fever and cough. The vast majority of people with the Coronavirus infection do not require hospital care. To protect yourself wash hands often with soap and water. If not available, use hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid contact with people who are sick. Stay home while you are sick. Cover your mouth/nose with tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
There is no treatment. New guidelines are ๏ฟผcontinually coming out by the CDC๏ฟผ.
If you are experiencing mild symptoms we suggest supportive care. Fluids, rest, pain/fever medication and self-quarantine.
If you have questions on whether you should be tested due to exposure please contact the health dept. 206-477-8000

At this time, Bellevue Family Medicine will not be able to administer the COVID19 vaccine due to storage requirements and logistical support.
We encourage our patients to visit the following website to help identify their vaccine phase and locations in the community that can provide the vaccine:
www.findyourphasewa.org
All Washington state locations that are currently administering COVID19 vaccines can be found at the following website:
https://www.doh.wa.gov/YouandYourFamily/Immunization/VaccineLocations
Please be aware that you must first make sure you are eligible on the Find Your Phase website before you contact the vaccination sites to request a COVID19 vaccine.
Bellevue Family Medicine would like to encourage all our patients to get vaccinated when their phase becomes available. But please understand that it will take time to get everyone vaccinated and having patience in this process is difficult, but important. Unfortunately, Bellevue Family Medicine has no ability to prioritize our patients or help schedule them.
