Over the thirty-five years that I have been a psychotherapist, my training has been both extensive and by choice,
eclectic. I have moved from my initial psychoanalytic training to family systems and behavioral and cognitive
behavioral approaches; behavioral activated therapy is part of my cognitive approach. I also use three alternative
methods (see Alternative Therapeutic Methods). My style is highly interactive with weekly tasks given where
appropriate. It is important to me that patients know that I have great respect for, and experience with, diversified
ethnic, racial, gender, cultural groups, and differing family styles.
