About

Whether it’s from age or a heavy dosage of exposure to high frequencies and loud noises, losing the ability to hear could be on the horizon for you or a loved one. Thankfully, managing and slowing that process is possible, thanks to Berry Hearing Aid & Audiology Center in Fort Dodge, IA. As the oldest established hearing aid center in the city, their audiologists have helped the residents of Webster County combat hearing loss with expert care and special hearing amplifiers for nearly 70 years.

Jud, a board-certified hearing instrument specialist—is prepared to use every form of instrumentation to evaluate your hearing. After being evaluated, they also provide no-risk trial periods for their devices to ensure they fulfill your needs and are a comfortable fit. Have you ever wondered what the inside of your innermost ear looks like? A section through the organ of Corti in the cochlear of the inner ear. Each V-shaped arrangement of outer hairs (stereocilia, white on pink) lies on the top of a single cell. The hairs are surrounded by endolymph fluid. As sound enters the ear, it causes waves to form in the endolymph, which in turn causes these hairs to move. Outer hair cells amplify the vibrations, which are then picked up by inner hair cells (not seen) that transmit the signal to auditory nerve fibres. This amplification enhances the sensitivity and dynamic range of hearing. Beneath the hair cells are bottle-shaped Deiters', or phalangeal, cells (brown), a type of support cell, and nerve fibres (pink). Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM). MY.OPTIMISTICALLYTHINKING.COM Scans Uncover Root Cause of Constant Ringing/Buzzing Optimistically Thinking January 25 at 7:25 PM · “The more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know.” ~Albert Einstein~ I thought I knew everything about the constant buzzing/ringing in my ears…then I came across the quote above and it opened my mind and heart back up to new possibilities. With this simple mind shift, I finally understood that the underlying cause of tinnitus had almost nothing to do with the ears, and that it was an early sign of something significantly more damaging. I used to think that it was due to the damage caused by listening to the radio and television too loud, but little did I realize that it had nothing to do with that. I'm fortunate to have understood and corrected it when I did. For the first time in, I don’t know how many years, I am able to sleep restfully through the night.. Just absolute and total silence (bliss). If this makes sense, tap below to learn more
