FRONTIER AIRLINES VOTERS HAVE SPOKEN: FORT MYERS IS NAMED TOP WARM WEATHER DESTINATION OF 2021
FORT MYERS, Florida – Jan. 29, 2021 – Fort Myers has been named the top warm weather destination for 2021 by Frontier Airlines customers in a recent vote that pitted the city against Phoenix, Miami, Sarasota, Florida and Tampa, Florida. Known for its world-class beaches, friendly community and wide range of activities, Fort Myers took top honors in an online vote conducted over a two-week period earlier this month.
Voters were automatically entered to win Frontier flights and a vacation package to the destination they chose. One lucky winner who voted for Fort Myers has been selected to receive a package that includes four nights at South Seas Island Resort, a shopping gift card at Miromar Outlets, Captiva Cruises Excursion to private island Cabbage Key and Edison Ford Winter Estates admission.
“With its stunning beaches, outstanding dining options and fun vacation vibe, it’s no wonder Fort Myers took the top spot,” said Tyri Squyres, vice president of marketing, Frontier Airlines. “Serving as a gateway to Southwest Florida, Fort Myers has long been a hugely popular destination for warm weather seekers and Frontier offers unbeatable fares and several nonstop flights from the convenient Southwest Florida International Airport.”

The health and safety of customers and team members is Frontier’s number one priority. With that in mind, Frontier introduced sweeping health and safety enhancements in 2020 that touch every step of a customer’s travel journey with the airline.
Frontier requires all customers and crew members wear a face covering throughout their travel journey. Plus, anyone flying with Frontier must complete a health acknowledgement prior to flying confirming that:
• Neither they nor anyone in their household has exhibited Covid-19 related symptoms in the last 14 days
• They will wash their hands/sanitize before boarding the flight
• They understand and acknowledge the airline’s face covering policy and pre-boarding
temperature screening policies
During flight, main cabin air is a mix of fresh air drawn from outside and air that has been passed through an air filtration system that features HEPA filters capable of capturing respiratory virus particles at more than 99.9% efficiency – similar to those used in hospital
environments. Frontier’s modern all-Airbus fleet is among the youngest in the world - all aircraft currently in operation are less than four years old.
