Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company

At approximately 04:30 this morning Bethel & Stony Hill firefighters were alerted to a reported deck fire on Putnam Park Road. Upon arrival of Bethel PD and Stony Hill S3, a fire was found on the rear porch of the home with the family inside sleeping and unaware.
Bethel PD evacuated the residence while S3 and Officer DeOliveira worked to extinguish the fire. The fire did not extend into the home and only damaged the deck. Once E6 arrived, the fire was fully extinguished and placed under investigation by the Bethel Emergency Management & Fire Marshal office.
This situation could have been drastically worse if it weren’t for a neighboring dog who barked to awake his owner and essentially alerted him to the fire next door. There were no injuries and the family returned to their residence once units cleared the scene.
🐰Fluff, Margie, Marshmallow and Olive were just a few of the patients we saw this week with Dr. Fitch.

Today, one of our staff members was “viciously” attacked by a puppy 😹😹
Ross the Golden Retriever, was such a good boy for his visit today ❤️❤️ We have so much fun with our patients. Even though you can’t be present in our building at this time, know we are loving on every single patient. 🐾

P-Nut came in today to be spayed and wasn’t a fan of recovering in her cage. Instead, she preferred Kaitlyn holding her. With a makeshift sling, P-Nut was happy, comfortable and relaxed during her hospital stay with us. 🐾

Bethel, CT: Has anyone lost this kitty? No collar, very friendly, pretty sure it’s a female and she is not hungry so maybe just got out of the house.
Today we had a Halloween house decorating contest amongst our hospital staff. We had the Diabetes house, with insulin syringes and lab codes 😹 and the cat haunted house with cemetery addition. A great time was had by all! 🎃

Dr. Colberg and Autumn removed sutures on Hayley, the sweetest Frenchie, after a lump removal procedure. Hayley has a history of Mast Cell tumors and to be safe, we took her to surgery to remove the tumor. She has recovered very well and is back to her normal activities! 🐾🐕❤️
🐈🐈Goya and Shadow are two beautiful, senior ladies looking to be adopted together. ❤️ They were left behind by their family and are in desperate need of a home before they end up in a shelter. ❤️Sweet Whitney is still searching for a special home to call her own. She is an older girl, whom
