Hey all! Bethlehem is offering a book discussion group in conjunction with the ‘Cedar Valley Book Read’ of Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s book, How to Be An Antiracist.
This book discussion group will be a hybrid offering people the choice of in person or Zoom meetings. To join the Zoom Meeting go to https://uni.zoom.us/j/93692636855 - OR - open Zoom and enter this meeting ID: 936 9263 6855. No password is needed.
Sessions begin at 5:15 pm on October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. At 6:30 the community leaders panels will be shown at church for those attending in person.

Hey Bethlehem! Fall mid-week programming starts tonight with Confirmation Student and Parent Meeting, and Adult Choir both starting at 7 pm! Choir will meet in the sanctuary and confirmation will meet in the Fellowship Hall. Please wear masks and stay socially distanced so that we can keep everyone safe! Good morning all! Great news! Our possible covid exposure is negative and Bethlehem is back open with regular office hours and drive-in worship at 10 am this Sunday. We thank you for your patience as we do our best to keep everyone as safe and healthy as we can. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Now with multiple colleagues quarantining for covid exposure, I will say again, please for the sake of each other, wear your mask. We have lost too many people already. Wearing a mask is less difficult than burying someone you love.
We all want to be done wearing masks. We all want to be able to be with friends and loved ones. For now, do whatever you can do to slow the spread. And if you are lonely or hurting or needing a friend? Call me. Call each other. None of us walks this alone.

Snow Day
Are you looking for something fun to do? Then you should come to our Snow Day on Sunday, January 24 after worship! There will be several fun activities for all ages! There will be a snowman building contest-participants are invited to personalize their snowman by bringing your own snowman decorating items from home or we will have supplies available at the church. There will snow art-participants will use safe supplies as they bring the snow alive with colorful artwork. There will be sidewalk chalk- participants will brighten the sidewalks around the church with color and art work. There will be a bonfire to help keep you warm. There will also be hot chocolate available. If you have any questions, please contact Heather.

For Bethlehem members, in your Lenten bags that we sent home there are a pack of spiritual practice cards that include a tea ceremony for each week. Attention Bethlehem Lutheran Church family and friends! We have been hard at work developing a unique way to connect us to each other and our community. The result is Camp Bethlehem. Camp Bethlehem is a series of four events during the spring and summer focused on service and connecting members with the Word. The first event is Sunday, April 18th from 1:00 - 3:30. We will be doing spring cleaning for people that need help cleaning up their yards, garages, or whatever else needs to be done to help people. If you are interested in helping us, please fill out the Google Form below. Please fill out the form for each person willing to volunteer. It's going to be a great afternoon of helping others and connecting with each other.
