If you are scheduled for an appointment at our Prince Frederick office today, please call us before you head over. There’s a water main break on Stoakley Road, so our Prince Frederick patients are being rescheduled to appointment times this afternoon or being seen in our Dunkirk office! Please call us at 410-535-5555 before heading out! We’re sorry for any inconvenience.
Update as of 12:45 PM: We are closing the Dunkirk Office but our Prince Frederick Office remains OPEN for both pediatrics and adult medicine. Give us a call before you head out, and please be safe on the roads if there is flooding! If you have a sick or follow up appointment, we may be able to convert your visit to a televisit, just give us a call!

CovidLINK is the way we’re doing contact tracing in Maryland, and it gives YOU the power to help prevent the spread of coronavirus in your community.
When someone is diagnosed positive with COVID, we make a phone call to that person within 24 hours. When you see MD COVID on your caller ID, you'll know to answer it because we're there to help you with managing your condition, and with getting resources that you need. If you don’t have caller ID, look for the phone number (240) 466-4488.
If you let us know who you might've been in touch with, we can offer them the same kinds of resources, and we can minimize the spread of COVID-19.
For FAQs, testimonials, and more about CovidLINK, visit coronavirus.maryland.gov.

COVID can present with fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste/smell or even no symptoms at all. The only way to know if you have it is to get tested!! Our office has both rapid and PCR tests available.
If you are 18 years+ and haven’t already pre-registered, we strongly encourage you to do so today!!
We wholeheartedly believe this vaccine is safe and effective. All of our providers and nearly all of our staff have received the COVID vaccine. We have all done very well and many of us will get our second dose next week! Please listen to the experts on this and don’t fall prey to misinformation online — get vaccinated!!

We believe in science. All of our providers and many of our staff will be getting the COVID vaccine over the next two days. We believe that this vaccination is a necessary step in fighting COVID.
..
Here’s what we know:
💉 Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are safe. We would not put something into our own bodies that we didn’t believe was safe.
💉 Both vaccines are effective. They have 94-95% efficacy at preventing mild and severe symptoms of COVID.
💉 Common side effects after receiving the vaccine include soreness at the injection site, fatigue, headaches, and fever. So far, the only side effects Drs. Mehta, Dr. Jani and NP Smawley have experienced is soreness at the injection site.
💉 Maryland is currently prioritizing healthcare workers and other high risk groups so vaccines for the general public are not yet available. The vaccines are not yet approved for children.
💉 Even after getting the vaccine, it is important to wear a mask and socially distance! This is because it’s going to take time to immunize the entire population.
