Hello, I just wanted to update on our positivity rate today. We are currently at 12.3 so we are still looking at outdoor visitation only for awhile. We also will not have a hair dresser to utilize during this time.

COVID Update:
The Lake County positivity rate updated today is 15.6 so we are continuing to see a rise in the positive cases. The state health department is strongly encouraging against families picking up their loved one for the holidays. Essential medical appointments are allowed, however, it is recommended to use telehealth if at all possible. If a loved one is to leave the branch over the holiday, an automatic 14 day quarantine will be placed.
I know these are very trying times for all of us, but know that we are here and your loved ones are in great hands. Please do not hesitate to call with any questions.

Today our Lake County positivity rate is 15.8%! I pray everyday that when I look, this number will go down. Today it was the same as yesterday so at least it did not go up, as it did on all the previous days since I have started tracking the percentages.
Residents are able to go out for essential doctor appointments, but if a tele~health visit is possible, we encourage that. If you need me to assist with the call itself, please do not hesitate to ask.

Several questions have been coming in about the vaccine. YES, it is coming and YES, we are first on the list! I don't have any specific dates as of yet but as soon as I do, you will be the first to know. Bickford has teamed up with the CVS/Walgreens team in order to administer the vaccine. As soon as we have more information, we will set up a clinic and will be needing a consent form signed as well. This is FANTASTIC news!

I just checked the Lake County Positivity rate and we are down to 12% --- YAY! We are getting closer!
We have had a busy day at Bickford...Including Tropical Drinks and Flamingo Toss for our Luau Theme Day!
We have smoothly and successfully completed our first COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Everyone is doing very well! I am thankful to all the families, residents, and BFM's for helping and making it all run smoothly. One step closer to back to normal. Our second clinic date is February 17, 2021.

As of Saturday our county positivity rate was 9.3% and on Sunday it was 8.7% --- this is GREAT news. As long as we stay under 10% until Monday, January 15th --- we will begin our indoor visits again. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We can't have any + COVID cases for 14 days either, so there are a couple things that determine our visits moving forward but we are definitely headed in the right direction.

Today our county positivity rate is 10.3 --- we continue to head in the right direction. According to Lake county guidelines, we need to be below 10% for two weeks before visitation is allowed inside the building. We are on our way!!!!!!!!!!!
