You can smell the cinnamon in the air. Yum! Yum! It's the snickerdoodle cookies we made baking in the oven.
50's Day at Bickford of Midland is always a memorable day. We have a special friend that gets his group together and they bring the cars from that time period. The different models of cars spark childhood memories that we haven't visited in a while.
We finished the flowers on a grandparents picture, with our individual artistic ability. It was fun and the creative juices were flowing. Terri, our RN even showed us her artsy side. Happy Grandparents Day.
Happy 73rd Wedding Anniversary! Lorna and Gordy Powers have made it the long haul. Lorna says it's attributed to Gordy's patience. We celebrated with some life stories and cake, made by Carrie, our kitchen manager.
Sophia turning 100!!!! We had a party for this great and wonderful lady. It's not every day that this happens so we had to make it extra special. Happy Birthday from all your friends at Bickford of Midland
With having a few Breast Cancer survivors we loved the idea of bringing awareness to Breast Cancer. Bickford of Midland supports Breast Cancer Awareness and wants people to ask. Why all the pink? Pink lemonade slushies were great for this special occasion as well. Yum!
Bickford of Midland is overwhelmingly pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. The kitchen staff even got involved so we had a pink kitchen as well.

Family visits are a lot warmer when your inside. They are staying the 6 feet distance and wearing their masks. Bickford of Midland is making it through and adjusting well to our new normal.
Today was a fun day. When i start taking pictures there always was somebody being funny. Jim pretending he is sleeping or Erma making faces at me. too funny!
Residents always love it when they are winning, especially when they can get those candy bars for prizes.

Cookie baking was on the calendar for Monday. We made chocolate chip cookies, they are a favorite around here. It is so nice when everyone can help in the process, and especially taste the final product. Yum Yum!

Still enjoying the rest of Winterfest Day with indoor smores. Yum. Yum. We had fun and were very safe. We also had a Eagle Scout and Silver Ward Explorer helping us out.
Winterfest Day was full of Christmas spirit. We enjoyed hot cocoa and sugar free of course with mix-ins, candy canes, green Christmas tree marshmallows, mini marshmallows, and white chocolate candy cane kisses. It was Hot!, hot! hot!

Hair appointments are sometimes just what you need, to make you feel refreshed and back to the new normal. Ellamary sure thinks so. Her birthday is this next Monday so she will feel topnotch for her special day.
The residents received homemade Valentine's from a youth group in our community. It brings a smile to residents faces to receive such love.
Scotty received an extra large valentine from his wife. The flowers and valentine is the perfect sentiment for the love in their hearts.
Our February Resident of the Month is Carol Alexander. She really enjoys showing off the wreath on her door to people she meets.
