Grandparents day here at Bickford of Raytown, and must say our hearts are so full today with all the love they felt. I asked all the families to send out a few pictures of their loved ones with their grandchildren and to make it a surprise for them. So this morning I told all the residents to decorate their own picture frame and when they’re done I’ll put a surprise in it little did they know I had a picture of them and their grandchildren or someone that they love. All their faces were lit up with so much joy and I loved how they could go back and tell me a memory they had about the pictures it was a great feeling for the staff and the residence today. Thank you to all the families that sent me a picture for their loved one
Yesterday was national picture day ! So we took our “senior” pictures ❤️ They all had such a great time getting they’re pictures taken

Today we had such a great day doing some fall flower painting, the residents painted a vase on a canvas then with help we hot glued some fall flowers that they picked out. This was such a great time for the BFMs and residents! This activity turned out so great !

Some of you may remember that we made some Halloween goodie bags for a elementary school. The elementary school students made the residents Thank you cards! They absolutely love them and so do I ! Thank you Spring Branch Elementary in Independence for making these for our residents, we really enjoyed them this morning!!!

This month we had food tasting from Italy, they loved all the yummy snacks.

My heart is so full! Our fantastic residents wrote letters to Santa !!! The smiles on everyone faces putting in their letter to Santa the top 3 things they really want for Christmas! Little do they know one of the top 3 things will be on their front door Christmas Day !! Love all these sweet residents. Even the staff put letters in to Santa !
Day one of our Christmas crafts !!!! We made our own holiday candy dish , this was a blast to make.
Today was our Winter Wonderland Festival! We had Mrs. Clause (Whitney) and her favorite Elf (annie) come by! We even had musical entertainment that was amazing, a hot chocolate bar that was brought to us by LumiCare Hospice, and even all the residents got to take their holiday pictures! What a wonderful time.

Churches Chicken Meal ! We had a walking group and the ones that got 5,000 steps a week for a month got a chicken dinner.
