Blind Spot warning systems help the driver sense things he can’t see. Most blind spot monitors illuminate a warning light if an object is located alongside the vehicle and sound an audible warning if the vehicle begins to move in that direction.
Electronic Stability Control (“ESC”) helps maintain control in evasive maneuvers or cornering. ESC operates similar to Traction Control, but monitors more systems in the vehicle including cornering forces (“vectors”) and wheel speed to adjust braking or engine power delivered to the wheels. If the system senses that the vehicle is cornering too hard, or begins to skid, the ESC steps in to slow the vehicle and prevent sliding, skidding and/or rollover accidents.
