After about a year searching for a place for my office when I closed my store, I found a place about a block from downtown Homewood. A closed bake shop that specialized in cakes. Two months later I moved into a completely gutted and renovated space to house my design business.
Then the rains came in mid February. That’s when I found out that the old roof was not up to the task of protecting my office from heavy winter rains. My landlord moved me immediately before much more serious problems developed, roof collapse and ceiling joist damage.
3 months later and after crews rebuilt the joists, insulated the roof and installed a new roof, repair work began to return my office back to the newly renovated state it was and is again.
