Hillary Harris Gnerer September 24 at 4:11 PM · Hello friends!!! So many of you support PPP every year and are waiting patiently for the 2020 shirts to be released so I wanted to keep you in the loop. Shirts will be available at the Heights Albertsons location beginning next week. Due to the fact that we cannot have a Pink Store at Billings Clinic this year, we have opened a flash store with UAS. Our flash store will have a variety of very cool PPP items, including this year’s t-shirt, for sale online at the link below. The store closes October 1st so items can be shipped to your address. https://ppp2020.itemorder.com/ Because of Covid we have had to reimagine almost everything PPP related this year. We are unable to have our large PPP volleyball game/auction so we have decided to run an online auction through Facebook beginning October 14. More info to come! If you are interested in donating an auction item please message me! Thank you for supporting this amazing cause! Cancer does not stop for Covid and we still have many MT women needing our help!

Billings Clinic November 19 at 11:01 AM · As of this morning, 1 in 21 Montanans, and 1 in 17 people in Yellowstone County, has been infected with COVID-19. 1 in 1,905 Montanans has died as a result of this illness. Yesterday morning, our hospital had nearly 100 inpatients with COVID-19, the most we've ever had at one time. Health care workers at Billings Clinic and across the region are making a superhuman effort to take care of everybody who needs care, and they are doing an awe-inspiring job under incredibly difficult circumstances. But it doesn't have to be this way and we need the help of everybody in the community to make sure this situation improves. It may be tough and sometimes uncomfortable, but we have to act differently until we get through this. Please continue to wear your masks, physically distance, wash your hands and avoid crowds and gatherings. It's a choice you can make that truly saves lives, and protects you and those around you.

This week we had our first kids come in with RSV. Usually, this virus hits after Thanksgiving but masking and social distancing delayed its onset until now. RSV presents as a simple cold in older kids and adults but is the leading cause of wheezing and hospitalization in infants and toddlers. Most little ones will do fine with RSV but last year, for example, 57,000 kids under age 5 were hospitalized for RSV in the US. RSV starts off with a very watery runny nose and some will have a fever for 2 or 3 days. It progresses to a wheezy cough and some will develop hypoxia (low oxygen). How can you tell the difference? Meet Dr. Kenamore...👩‍⚕️ Dr. Kenamore has enjoyed practicing in Montana since 1998. She provides care in general pediatrics and adolescent medicine from newborns to college students. Being a third-generation physician, she knows the importance of getting to know families and being available to them so when needs arise, families are secure in the care they are receiving. Along with a holistic approach, she firmly believes in the effectiveness and safety of vaccines as a critical part of well child care. After working for Billings Clinic in Billings, she is excited to settle in Bozeman and continue to work with Billings Clinic pediatric specialists. Her family is especially happy to be so close to MSU, the great outdoors and all this area offers.

Happy American Heart Month from our office! 💜 In most cases, heart disease is preventable when people adopt a healthy lifestyle, which includes not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, controlling blood sugar and cholesterol, treating high blood pressure, getting at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity a week, AND getting regular checkups.
Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing tips on how to stay heart-healthy! 💜
Have you met our team? Our team strives to build a compassionate and respectful partnership that honors the trust you place in us. Have questions? Leave them below or send us a message.
Dr. Handlin says as we start to get back into a normal routine remember to make healthy choices and remind your children why this is important. Simple changes your family can do include cutting out soda pop/juice, eating more vegetables and fruit, and being active every day. 💜

Site work has begun on the new Billings Clinic Bozeman campus! We have been working closely with the City of Bozeman during the planning phases of the project and held listening sessions with Bozeman community members to inspire the planning process. The first phase includes a sophisticated three-story multispecialty clinic and urgent care with an adjacent one-story surgery center that can accommodate brief overnight stays. The design features a modern, mountain aesthetic that will be filled with natural light and views of the Bridger Mountains. The clinic will house our office and pediatric practices that have been in the Bozeman community for many years in addition to a compliment of additional specialty and primary care services. See you in 2022! BILLINGSCLINICBOZEMAN.COM Coming in 2022: New Billings Clinic Bozeman Campus
