Your health is important to us! Below are 5 reasons you should have a primary care provider 1. You can stay healthier Patients who see a primary care provider regularly stay up to date on their preventive care (immunizations, mammograms, colon cancer screenings) and often their chronic conditions (diabetes, high blood pressure) are better managed. 2. You can lower your health care costs Because preventive care is strongly tied to better health and lower costs, many preventive care services are completely covered by insurance By visiting your primary care provider for your routine physicals, screenings and immunizations, you’re more likely to avoid costly prescriptions and care later on. 3. You’ll save time You can save time by addressing multiple health needs in one appointment. Your provider can often provide a checkup, screening and/or immunization in just one visit. 4. They’re your guide to specialists While they manage many acute and chronic conditions, some times specialized care is needed. Whether you need to see a dermatologist or your child needs an allergist, your primary care provider can help connect you to the right specialist. 5. You’ll have a trusted health advocate and advisor Your primary care provider is not only a health expert but your health advocate. The better your provider knows you and understands your health history, the better they can care for you and help guide your long term health. If you'd like to establish with a primary care provider or learn more about our services, call 406-233-7000.

It's important to stay on top of your health. One way to do that is by establishing care with a primary care provider. Our providers work with you to develop a kind and trusting relationship. Having an established provider allows you to stay up to date on preventive care like immunizations, mammograms, colon cancer screenings, and often their chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

There are so many great reasons to have a primary care provider, but one of the most important aspects is the fact that you'll have a trusted health advocate and advisor. Our team of primary care providers is currently accepting new patients! Give us a call at 406-233-7000, and we'll help set you up with the best person for you.

There are 105 total confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Custer County as of 10 am today. Let's work together to stop the spread and protect our friends and families. We need everybody's help to get through this -- and we will get through this -- but it's going to take all of us together. Wear your masks, physically distance, wash your hands, stay home and avoid others if you are ill or have respiratory illness symptoms, and avoid groups or crowds whenever possible.
The first COVID-19 vaccines were administered today at our main Billings Clinic campus in Billings. The first five people to receive the vaccine were a respiratory therapist, paramedic, environmental services team member, nurse, and a physician. The CDC required that the first allocations of COVID-19 vaccines go to health care workers and those in long-term care facilities. The development and receipt of this vaccine is hoped to be a significant step in slowing the spread of COVID-19 and will help us work toward the world-wide goal of ending this pandemic as soon as possible. More updates and information will be shared in the days and weeks ahead, and in the meantime, you can read more about the vaccine from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by clicking here.
Let's stay healthy and safe this holiday season. Check out these great holiday safety tips and use them as a guide to practice what you think is best for you and your family. https://www.billingsclinic.com/services-specialties/covid-19/holiday-safety/

On January 5th Governor Gianforte announced a new prioritization of COVID-19 vaccine distribution for the state. We will BROADLY communicate when we move into each phase with the vaccines. We are following the state's COVID-19 vaccination plan and are still in phase 1a, which included healthcare workers, first responders, and long-term care and assisted living facilities. The new phase 1b opens COVID-19 vaccination to Montanans with underlying health conditions such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Also those over 70 years old and Native Americans and other persons of color who may be at increased risk of complications from COVID-19 are able to be vaccinated in this phase-phase 1b.
COVID-19 Vaccine Update Please read below for full details Billings Clinic January 7 at 12:12 AM · Yesterday (Jan. 5) Governor Gianforte announced a new prioritization of COVID-19 vaccine distribution for the state. We are following the state’s COVID-19 vaccination plan and are still in phase 1A, which includes health care workers, first responders and long term care and assisted living facilities. The new phase 1B opens COVID-19 vaccination to Montanans with underlying health conditions such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Also, those over 70 years old and Native Americans and other persons of color who may be at increased risk of complications from COVID-19 are able to be vaccinated in this phase – phase 1B. We will broadly communicate when those vaccines are available.
When phase 1B of the COVID-19 vaccination plan begins, Billings Clinic Miles City, OneHealth and Holy Rosary Healthcare will be joining together to create a Vaccine Clinic. The clinic will be hosted at Holy Rosary Healthcare. Phase 1B is defined as: • Persons aged 70 years and older • Persons aged 16-69 with high-risk medical conditions • American Indians and other people of color who may be at elevated risk for COVID-19 complications To learn more information and prepare for the vaccine clinic, click on the photo below. SCLHEALTH.ORG Community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic to be held at Holy Rosary Healthcare
The State is allocating vaccines based on population, not by health care locations within a city. Therefore Billings Clinic Miles City, OneHealth, and Holy Rosary Healthcare are still working together to provide joint community vaccination clinics, which will be held at Holy Rosary Healthcare. To streamline this process and avoid confusion, all patients who currently qualify and would like to receive the vaccine should call Holy Rosary beginning Tuesday, January 26 at 406-233-2500 to schedule. Additional communication will be coming soon. Thank you!

Billings Clinic Miles City patients can call for COVID-19 testing this week at 406-233-7000. As a reminder, all joint community vaccine clinics are being hosted by Holy Rosary Healthcare. If you currently fall within phase 1B and would like to be vaccinated, please call 406-233-2500 today before 3 pm. Appointments do fill up quickly. The public enthusiasm and desire for the COVID vaccine is wonderful to see and we want everybody to keep that going until we've all been vaccinated. Today we're excited to share an amazing addition to our infusion center, thanks to the kindness of one of our incredible patients! Kacie Killen-Kennedy was diagnosed with breast cancer last June. She finished one course of chemo at the Miles City infusion center. At the time, she noticed we didn't have a bell for patients to ring to celebrate the end of treatment. Kacie, along with the help of Ron Watts, designed and built this bell and donated it. Thank you so much, Kacie! You are a true warrior, and you have the most beautiful heart!
We're getting quite a few questions about wearing masks in public places given our current active COVID-19 cases. This is a great question, and the simple answer is YES. Governor Gianforte issued a statewide mask mandate in his executive order on January 13th, and this order remains in effect. You can read the full executive order and the requirements for masking below. Thank you! https://covid19.mt.gov/_docs/Directive_on_2-2021.pdf

Due to a national delay of the Moderna vaccine, there is no community vaccine clinic this week at Holy Rosary Healthcare. The full press release from our community health command is below and details the next steps for those scheduled for their second dose this week. ***No Community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Holy Rosary Healthcare During Week of February 22 Miles City, Montana There will be no Community COVID-19 Vaccine clinics at Holy Rosary Healthcare this week. Due to the severe weather that has impacted the entire country, the Moderna Vaccine for this week’s community clinics have been delayed. Pending the receipt of the vaccine, we will focus on ensuring community members are fully vaccinated with their second dose and anticipate being able to administer first doses the week of March 8. If you have an appointment for a second dose scheduled on Tuesday February 23, you will be notified by Holy Rosary Healthcare and rescheduled for Thursday March 4, 2021. We appreciate the community’s understanding and patience as we administer the vaccine as safely and effectively as we can to our vaccine eligible community members. Demand for COVID-19 vaccination continues to significantly outpace our community’s limited vaccine supply at this time. Although eventually we expect everyone in Phase 1A and 1B to be vaccinated, the number of people who can get vaccinated in the first days and weeks will be heavily dependent on the amount of vaccine available. We work closely with our state partners to understand the allocation and schedule for vaccine shipments each week, and we coordinate our vaccination plans and schedules based on the timing and amount of vaccine we receive, which can change week to week.***

Kacie, along with the help of Ron Watts, designed and built this bell and donated it. Thank you so much, Kacie! You are a true warrior, and you have the most beautiful heart!
