I felt so honored (and a bit nervous, let’s be honest) to give an interview for the New York Times this morning. We spoke for about 45 minutes on the complicated grief that comes from grief during the pandemic and how death due to COVID has made grief even more complex.
Grief is hard in general. But it’s been particularly difficult during the pandemic as people are so much more isolated and disconnected from their biggest sources of support.
Grief is best done in a community of people. We should never do it alone.

Happiness in the US typically fluctuates around 1% up or down every year. Yet in 2020, the US experienced at least a 20% drop in happiness due to the stress of pandemic.
