Biltwell Enterprises has been a construction and project management company serving the north central WV area for the last 22 years. The company has performed numerous residential and construction projects specializing in excavation, concrete, siding, decks and finish carpentry as well as interior renovations.
Kurt Fresa, the general manager, has been a licensed WV contractor since 1991 and has served 8 years as a consultant for Sears Home Improvement Products. He designed kitchens, siding, and window projects tailoring each to the customers budget and needs. At Biltwell Enterprises, they utilize that experience and focus on customer service with a project quality control coordinator and preprinted prices.
Kurt moved back to WV in 1991 after leaving the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce in economic development to assist the family in commercial real estate and property development. However, before he could be paid, some real estate had to sell. His father gave him some discarded railroad ties to gather while helping the family. He bundled 1,000 and sold them to a wholesaler for $3,500.00 and seed money to begin in business. The first project was a retaining wall with grade 1 railroad ties. One of the larger projects to date was an expanded parking area at the former Brand Trailer Sales and now Trailer City in Fairmont, WV. The most challenging project to date was 1100 linear feet of deck steps with railing down the mountain at Greystone development and building 2 concrete docks in the water at Cheat Lake.
Each year Biltwell Enterprises has developed a service that they could do well while providing the communication, customer satisfaction and warranties that a customer desires. As a statement from Mr. Fresa, he said” We have been asked to build houses but prefer to make a house a home ; the projects that people think of doing once they get settled. However, we do not use substandard building products or procedures just to meet budget. The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”. Biltwell Enterprises will travel to work a 40 mile radius.
