Construction update! Check out the progress that has been made just in the last few weeks! The mechanical room has been framed, the elevator shaft is nearing completion and steel beams are starting to be placed for the start of the second floor. In the next few weeks work will begin on the outdoor walls of the third machine!

Construction update! This week the construction crew is starting to place HUGE concrete blocks for the new vault (treatment room). The blocks average between 4,000-10,000 pounds a piece! The largest block is 4 feet wide by 8 feet wide. These blocks stop the radiation and protect anyone outside of the room from being exposed. Construction has also started on the second floor with steal beams being added.

The Head and Neck Support Group will be held tomorrow, Wednesday February 10, at the Missouri Valley YMCA in the Skybox room at 3 p.m. This support group is open to all head and neck cancer survivors!

Today we dressed in blue for colon cancer awareness and for #turnndblue! Our theme this year was Love Your Colon! Excluding skin cancers, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States. It is recommended to get a colonoscopy every 10 years starting at age 45; more often and earlier if you have symptoms or family history.
