We know you may not always be able to move over but slowing down helps us more than you think. Did you know, when you slow down/ hit your brakes so do the cars & trucks behind you, and those behind them, and those behind them ect.. in turn alerting drivers several tenths of a mile behind where we are working to slow down and start to get over BEFORE they get to where we are working. It may not seem like hitting your brakes as you are passing by or after passing, but it truly does have an impact on the men and women roadside when you do. Brake lights and moving over give people behind you additional warning and allows them to get over and slow down sooner also. Please consider doing this the next time you see someone along side the road it may save a life!
