Before COVID-19, mobile blood drives hosted by high schools, colleges, businesses and other organizations made up about 40% of the region’s incoming blood supply, but the number of blood drives has dropped by two-thirds this year due to the pandemic. One of the first groups to jump into action when we began to slowly host drives again in May 2020 was Cheer, Sussex County. Because of their continued support, commitment to their community and dedication to helping others, we have been able to host a blood drive at their Georgetown location multiple times each month since. The impact of their donations have given hope to more than 1,000 hospital patients in the past few months. A big THANK YOU to the team at CHEER Sussex County for your life-saving efforts!

Thank you Herr’s for keeping our donors crunching!😋 Herr's donates 100 cases a month! The average count is 42 bags per case, bringing their donated snacks to 4,200 bags a month. That's around 50,000 bags a year!😮 They have been donating these snacks for the last decade...that's almost 500,000 BAGS OF SNACKS over the last 10 years!
