Lip transformation!
This gorgeous girl wanted VOLUME, so we have a plan...
First, we used liquid numbing to make sure the lip procedure was comfortable.
Next, we carefully mapped out where her lips would naturally take filler. If we use too much(especially laterally) she will look unnatural. We want to keep the volume soft, natural and tasteful!
Third, we used 1 cc of Versa to give the top lip some more “show” and plumped our the bottom lip for some balance!
Last- before we add any more volume we will let this settle, examine, and judiciously add filler to get her desired result in keeping with the overall balance and proportion of her face!
I think we are off to a great start!

Lip evolution...
I received the last picture from my patient this morning. Lip filler can be a beautiful, balanced and soft enhancement. It doesn't need to look unnatural! That being said...every patient will experience SOME degree of swelling afterwards. I can’t predict how much swelling...but it is to be expected. Look at that last image...she has great vertical lift without overprojection and a soft plump to the lower lip! She sent me this message today...

Sometimes, even though the under eye looks dark, it is not correct to fill the tear trough. It might start to look obvious, or worse, bulge underneath the gorgeous patient’s eye. The best approach is to rejuvenate the cheek! We used Voluma to restore some definition and lift to the lateral cheekbones (with a little by the nose- pyriform aperature), then we used Versa with a cannula to add volume to the nasojugal groove and the medial cheek. A little balance...
She asked for some plumping to the upper lip! We carefully sculpted the shape for more upper lip volume and accentuated the Cupid’s bow by adding some filler at the vermillion boarder and structural support to the lip (lateral tubercles). Just a little hydration and plumping to the lower lip to keep the proportion just right. I love this result!
