Harvesting Sunshine Produces Big Savings in Raleigh
Every year Raleigh is voted one of the best places to live in America. Carolina Dogs, Cheerwine, breathtaking beauty, and a great cost of living. It’s hard to imagine the City of Oaks getting any better than it is right now. But with the rise of residential solar across North Carolina, life in Raleigh is getting even better. By producing clean energy with home solar panels, local residents are preserving Raleigh’s natural beauty and cutting home electricity costs.
Since 2007, solar system installs have risen from powering 92 homes in North Carolina to powering over 683,648 homes statewide in 2019 (and counting). With federal and local incentives, Blue Raven Solar Raleigh, NC has made it easy for residents and beyond to save big on fluctuating utility costs. Also, Duke Energy offers a $0.60/watt solar rebate to Asheville residents. Depending on the size of your solar panel system you can expect to receive a rebate between the amount $4800 and $6000 dollars from Duke. When you add in a tax credit from the federal government and additional savings from our solar company, going solar has become an easy decision for Asheville residents. This program is first come, first served, and once Duke Energy runs out of available funds for rebates in 2020, solar customers can join a waitlist for the rebate.
Rebates like this, coupled with a 70% drop in solar equipment costs since 2010 have made owning solar fantastically affordable in Raleigh. So much so that Wake County officials have put forth a “clean energy resolution” to move from fossil fuels to 100% green energy by 2050. Our solar company is proud to be a partner in an effort to ensure a green future for Raleigh by harvesting sunshine that puts money back in your wallet, so you can focus on other important things like: “Which is better, Lexington or Eastern style barbecue?”
