The health & safety of the community in which we serve is of the utmost importance to Blue Ridge ENT & PS. We are taking action to protect our patients, employees, & community by following the recommendations from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) on Coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention. We are receiving a lot of phone calls at the present time and our staff are working very hard to answer them. Please bare with us as we all work through this together. We appreciate your patience & understanding as the CDC announces new guidelines daily. We will post updates as they come in.
To answer some commonly asked questions:
* We are still operating our normal business hours.
* All patients over the age of 70 will be rescheduled in 4-6 weeks unless you have an emergency
*We have implemented a new screening process that will take place at our front doors. A temperature will be taken & a series of questions will be asked about recent travel & any present signs of an acute illness. You will then be asked to wait in your car. We will call your cell if one is available when the provider is ready for your appointment.
* Our office is not equipped to see patients who may have the new COVID-19 virus. We can direct you to the appropriate resources within the community.

Former NFL player and Liberty University alumni, now an ENT doctor in central Virginia
Please join us in welcoming our new physician Dr. Samkon K. Gado to Blue Ridge Ear, Nose, and Throat. Dr. Gado attended Liberty University from 2001-2005 where he completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotions with Honors & was a member of the university's football team. After completing his undergraduate studies, he played in the NFL from 2005-2010 (Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, & St. Louis Rams). He retired from the NFL and pursued a career in medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina from 2011-2015. He completed his five year Otolaryngology residency at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri before returning to Lynchburg, Virginia with his family. Dr. Gado welcomes all new and established patients with either same day or next day appointments.
