Lexi – Exam Room Technician

My name is Lexi and I work at Blue Sky as an exam room technician. I’m originally from Chicago, Illinois and I moved out here to complete my undergraduate degree at Colorado State University. I am planning on obtaining a Masters in Biomedical Sciences and then applying to veterinary school to pursue a career as a veterinarian. In the future, I hope to work with both large and small animals (goats are my favorite!). I am very involved in the CSU Snowboard Team and almost all of my free time is dedicated to being on the mountain. If I’m not on the mountain or at the clinic, I’m likely curled up with my cat Bentley. If you want to know more about me, find me at the clinic!

Foster Friday: Hunter is a 6-8 month old neutered male who was recently rescued from a feral colony in Nebraska. He has only been in foster for a week and a half, so he is still coming out of his shell, but making progress daily. His coat is very unique and beautiful!! He is good with other cats and would do best in a quieter home as he continues to acclimate to his new indoor life.

Hi, I’m Meghan and I’m from Vacaville, CA. I have a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, but after finishing my degree I decided I would rather work with animals. I am currently working towards a degree in animal nutrition, but my dream is to be a zoo vet! I have a ton of animals including a dog, horse, and gyrfalcon. I also love to fly fish in my free time!

Foster Friday: Murphy is a 1 1/2 year old 80lb Boxer Great Dane mix. Murphy was adopted out by our organization last year but was returned after his diagnosis of epilepsy. With proper medication we have a handle on Murphy’s epilepsy, and have gotten to know the goofy, loving, amazing dog that he is.
