Fall is upon us and we hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. As you all know we have been unusually busy since March most likely due to the Covid virus and everyone staying home using their plumbing more. We appreciate your patience and continued patronage. We would like to remind you if you provide a cell phone number as your contact when scheduling an appointment make sure you add our number to your contact list. Some customers have a setting in their cell phone to send calls to voicemail if they are not in their contact list. If we can't reach you when the plumber is headed your way this will affect your appointment. We need to be able to confirm you are available before sending the plumber. If we are going to your rental property please notify your tenant of this feature. Have a great day!!!
To all our faithful customers, we are experiencing phone problems through AT&T. They assured us the engineering department was on top of things. They are estimating the problem will be resolved within 24 hours. If you attempt to call our office and we get disconnected we will make every effort to call you back. Thanks for your patience and continued patronage. Thanks for placing your trust in us for all your plumbing needs!
The heat of summer is definitely upon us leaving our service technicians susceptible to extreme temperatures. If you have any work requiring us to go in the attic please be aware the work will need to be performed in the morning to limit their exposure to extreme temperatures. Thank you for supporting our technicians! 😀
Now that warmer weather is upon us don't forget to check your outside faucets for leaks inside the house as well as outside. During the winter months outside faucets can freeze and bust. You may not be aware of it until the faucet is turned on. If freezing occurs the faucet can leak inside the wall resulting in water damage. If left unchecked and you decide to wash your car with the faucet running continuously the room in which the faucet backs up such as a bedroom or living room may be flooded as a result. Of course, if this happens you know who to call......😉
A few of our customers have commented when their toilet was clogged they attempted to pour drain cleaner in the toilet bowl. A word of caution. Most drain cleaners are not made for those types of clogs. The chemical reaction produced by the drain cleaner creates heat which can crack the cold porcelain of a toilet. We advise you to read the label before using any drain cleaner for this purpose or you may find yourself replacing the toilet.
As the Oklahoma weather fluctuates we have all become experts at being weather aware. Although it seldom happens there are times when we must wait for bad weather to pass to avoid potential risks to our employees which may result in a delay when taking care of your plumbing needs. Particularly when the work is outdoors. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding during times when the Oklahoma weather is unpredictable.
Many of us have already experienced broken water lines due to extreme weather conditions. As the temperature rises there will be more broken water lines occurring. If you do not have a way to turn the water off to your house I recommend investing in a meter key. The city may be very busy and not able to get to you quickly if you need to turn off the water at the street to minimize damages. Some of you may actually hear the line rupture and/or hear water running in the wall after it breaks. Others may not hear anything but experience low water pressure. We have a great community and I am confident there will be neighbors helping neighbors as we navigate through this challenging time. Be safe and be well.
Good afternoon everyone. As we continue to work through this challenging time we hope you are staying safe. I wanted to share a quick tip that will benefit everyone. When you schedule service with us (or any other provider) we will be calling the phone number provided to confirm someone is home. Most of the time we are given a cell phone number. If we do not get an answer to make sure you are available we must move on to the next customer on the list. Make sure you add our office number to your list of contacts and/or check the settings on your phone. We are finding there is a setting in some cell phones that automatically sends calls to voice mail if the number calling is not listed in the contact list. This could be us calling you. I have run into this on several occasions. I just ran into this with a customer. Luckily she still had a landline we would call. I asked if she received our call on her cell and she said "I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it". Don't let this happen to you. We want to take care of your plumbing needs. Have a blessed day!!!
Good Monday Morning! Hopefully, everyone is getting back to semi-normal after the ice storm. I'm sure the cleanup will still be going on for a while. Just a quick note to remind everyone if you are stacking tree limbs and debris in your yard for pickup remember to leave the water meter lid exposed. If the plumber comes to perform service and has to turn the water off they need to have access to the water meter. Have a great week!
