Physical Therapy Treatments for Stroke Recovery
New review: Rachel went out of her way to provide my husband with high quality PT service. She engaged him with her kind but energetic personality and had him doing exercises that challenged him and improved his condition. She took him outside even to see what he could do. She used various tests to measure where he was starting from and what he accomplished in his sessions. Rachel’s PT was comparable to a good inpatient rehab! My husband benefitted immensely from her therapy. I would use her again in a heartbeat for my husband or myself! I highly recommend Botkin Rehab Services.

📖 Let me tell you a story.
I said “Hi. How was your weekend?” to my patient.
She said ,”Wow! I am sooo glad you taught me how to get up from the floor last week.”
My heart sank. She fell.
She continued, “I was out in the driveway and my foot got caught up in my cane and down I went.”
Now my stomach is tightening. I HATE hearing this.
She finished by saying “but I was ok. I didn’t hurt myself. I sat there for a minute like you told me, took a few deep breaths to calm down and GOT MYSELF UP. I don’t think I would have had the confidence or presence of mind to do it without your training”
MORAL OF THE STORY- falls happen. Teaching fall prevention is a BIG part of my job but I can’t eliminate falls 💯 so my obligation is to teach people what to do when they find themselves on the ground.
I ❤️ my job! People welcome me into their 🏠 and trust me to help them recover from surgery. Receiving a note like this is the icing on the 🍰
