A Special Salute to our own Veteran today, Dr. Frank W. Bowden, III! 🇺🇸
Dr. Bowden had a 12-year career in the military, serving as a battalion surgeon for the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines (REIN) in 29 Palms, California; a general medicine officer for the U.S. Marine Corps, also in 29 Palms; and a staff ophthalmologist for the U.S. Naval Service at Naval Hospital, Jacksonville.
Dr. Bowden was awarded the U.S. Navy Commendation Medal in 1982 and the U.S. Navy Achievement Medal in 1987.
We salute all our Veterans. We thank you for your service and your sacrifices. 🇺🇸

It’s with deeply broken hearts that we share the news of the passing of our former Optometrist, Dr. Jane Pancurak who suffered a heart attack. Just this year she got married and became Dr. Woods. She left Bowden Eye to move to Miami where she met her husband and was looking forward to returning back to Jacksonville this year. Dr. Woods was just 34 years old. Please keep her husband, family & friends as well our staff in your prayers. Enjoy today, because tomorrow is not promised, as 2020 continues to remind us.
