I had Smokology BBQ bring the truck and feed my entire team lunch today. The food, service, and pricing was fantastic. Everyone raved about the food. A great time was had by all. We appreciate everything Adrian and company did for us today. We will bring Smokology back for another employee appreciation lunch. Great Job!

They say it's "Hard To Stop A Trane". That's especially true when installed and maintained. Installed by our professional technicians in 1987 and maintained under our Comfort Care Club program this Trane heat pump is still serving it's original owner well. It's older than some of our technicians.
This week last year. The HOT weather will be here soon enough. If you haven't called for a pre-season tune up yet you may want to now. Let us help you be prepared. Call now 803-778-1937.

The heat is here and is going to stick around for awhile. Here are some tips to hopefully help.
1. Once the outdoor temps reach 95 plus most air conditioners will not maintain more than a 20 degree difference from outdoor temp. If your house is staying about 20 degrees cooler than outside your AC is probably doing what it is designed to do. We have to compromise during these extremes so we can remain comfortable and affordable during the vast majority of cooling hours.
2. Check your filter earlier than usual. Filters get dirtier the more your AC runs. During the next week it may run close to as many hours as it has in previous months.
3. Keep blinds and drapes shut during the day. Keeping the home shaded as much as possible will keep some of the heat out.
4. Do not turn your thermostat down below your normal comfort temperature. Turning it down will not make your system cool faster or more. It will just cause it to run even after it would normally cut off costing you money.
5. Keep hedges, bushes and anything that could block air flow away from your outdoor unit. Proper air circulation is critical to good operation.
6. Do not build a structure over your unit to "shade" it. While shade could help it a little a structure built around it or over it will impede air flow causing cooling capacity to be lost.
7. Do not run your AC fan all the time. Make sure the fan switch on your thermostat is set to auto. Running the fan in hot temps will re-evaporate water on your indoor coil adding humidity back into the house that was just removed. This humidity will cause the air to feel warmer than what it actually is. Also if your ducts are in your attic the air going through them will pick up heat and add it to your house.
We hope this helps you through the next several days of extreme temps.
